Motu's developers are guys who think we're in the same delirium as they are. Hey guys, I've got an idea: we're going to make an interface like a gas factory where even the basic settings will drive our users to depression. It's really, you buy the interface and you're on your own. Oh and last but not least, i'm sure that now that the 828 version 2024 is out, we can go to hell to get updates for our AVB interfaces.

Mellodyne does not load up in DP 11.3 for me. I downloaded it and registered it and DP finds it in a scan but I cant apply it to any of my tracks or use it as shown in the video. How about making a video about how to install it. I don't know why DP has to consistently be the hardest dam DAW to use, one of these days i'm just going to give up and move to <insert next DAW here>

Hello. But every time a new track is recorded, another portion of the monitoring delay is added, since the insertion in the previous tracks contains plugins that cause a delay. To avoid this, you must either turn off delay-causing plugins on the remaining tracks, or there must be a function (button) doing this, Something like "latency compensation limitation" like in other DAWs.

Holding X didn't work for me. So I used the Run Command line to switch to the Alternate Tool. Now I can't switch back to the Primary Tool. There's no command to do this that I can find. I had to restart my computer to get it to switch back to the primary tool. Is there a reason that the X modifier wouldn't function?

I had one of Trevors guitars from his Rabbitt days in SA. It was a 62 ES 335 which had a broken headstock. I repaired it and it was on its way back to its owner.

Does performer lite have delay compensation for plugins? Can it use plugins? I'll be receiving my new 828 USB 3 within 2 to 4 days according to tracking.

This is one of the worst tutorials I’ve ever seen for a m2 interface Instead of explaining each function of the included performer lite software of which I’ve never laid eyes on this gentleman is spending the majority of the tutorial talking about loops and instruments inside the software 😔 please hire better instructors for customers who spend their hard earned money !

Where are the rest of the industry standard live effects? I'd have an inventory of these interfaces if there were delay, graphic 31 band eq for outputs, stereo width, chorus, intonation.... Great hardware, great intuitive touch interface, just ill equipped for the live use toolbox.

David, saving the velocity edits and assigning to keyboard shortcuts is fantastic. Had no idea that existed. I've used the same technique for all my quantize settings. What a time and mouse click saver!

Is it possible to trigger Scene 1, and AFTER it plays back the number of measures in that scene, have it go to Scene 2 and just park there in a loop until I manually Trigger next Scene. Also is it possible to add automation of fades and panning to individual clips within the scene? E.g. I want volume automation during certain clips within a scene.

Been waiting for an update or sale on digital performer for a long time. Long enough that Bitwig has had about 5 major updates and sales in that time. Bitwig is awesome and in comparison puts Motu to shame with new features added. Sorry Motu but you really need to change or do something because Bitwig as well as most other daws are really kicking your arss these days. Big time. Anything new or any type of upgrade sale would be nice. Nothing has really happened since last release. Motu is best??? No, definitely going to argue that one all day long. That's great you like it. Ranting because this was the all time worst software purchase I have ever made which sucks.

I am an 828mk3 user from China. There is a row of monitor buttons below the output interface of CueMix FX If I don't light up the "monitor", the volume of the speaker will suddenly become huge and not controlled by any knobs, which harms my ears. I want to know why this is happening

I can only get the 8 analog outputs above the analog inputs to give me an output signal in pairs; 1-2 3-4 -5-6 7-8...but the manual says all analog outputs can work simultaneously. I am using it at 48k which supposedly does allow all outputs to work. Using the Motu Audio Console, it only allows you to select outputs in pairs, yet the manual repeatedly claims you can get all 10 analog outputs delivering an output at same time. Any clue?

I'm not sure if it's working correctly. I'm motu624 user and running motuAVBdicovery app with ipad pro1. It works sometimes, sometimes not. For an example, if I mute 'Fromcomputer 1-2' in the touch console app, It doesn't mute any sound and it's no affected to mixing tab. Absurdly 'From computer 1-2' channel is disappeared in mixing tab. And If I open pro audio control in Chrome in macbook pro, The configuration of mixing tab is different than mixing tab in motuAVB dicovery app in Ipad. I've tested with Safari and it's even worse. Sometimes, sound doesn't come out without no reason and if I uncheck 'Main mix' in the routing tab and check again, and then sound comes out. I've used RME, Apollo and many other audio interfaces, so I know how the routing and mixer works normally. It's just full of flaws and errors and working very sloppy. I'm using Monterey with apple M1pro macbook pro. I like the unit, but the software is totally not reliable and their tutorial isn't well prepared too. Very disappointing!

To start with, thats not a template! That's a session with all your libraries "stored" there. Freking impossible working with such a thing.

What a gift Trevor is to music (and life). He should be the most celebrated musician of our times. Is there anything at all the man doesn't absolutely excel at? He has the guitar chops of Steve Morse, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck, Chet Atkins, Brent Mason, etc all wrapped into his own style. He's as good a keyboardist as any that has been in Yes (and that is saying a lot). He has the pop songwriting chops of Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Phil Collins, Sting, etc. He has the style and swagger of Michael Hutchence. He has the voice of the likes of Steve Perry, Lou Gramm, Sammy Hagar, Mickey Thomas, etc. He has the composer shops of Leonard Bernstein, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, etc. He has the Producer chops of people like Steven Wilson, Trevor Horn, Mutt Lange, etc. Plus, he seems to be an amazing family man and father. His son Ryan is a force himself. I mean...WHY?!?!? is he not the most celebrated man in music?? I'll tell you why. He is a humble, kind, empathetic, honest and good man. That right there is the mic drop.
